Welcome to my Web site! MY WORLD OF OPERA began in the Thirties, in a darkened theater, when Grace Moore, Lily Pons and Miliza Korjus, first lite up the "silver screen". With the arrival of a phonograph in our family home, my interest in opera grew fourfold. Soon the voices of Gigli and Albanese.....Flagstad, Melchior and Maynor....became as familiar as those of family and friends. .......ON VIDEO With the introduction of television, voices acquired faces and gradually programming matured....from excepts on Ed Sullivan... to NBC Opera and, finally... to the Metropolitan Opera itself, offering complete performances of this most perfect of all art forms. The advent of video tape and, later, of discs completed the picture... making opera accessible to all, at any time, right in the comfort of one's home.It was then that my search for the "perfect" opera performance --admittedly unattainable -- commenced.
The performances listed are currently being transferred to DVD for archival purposes. If you wish to discuss any of my operas please contact me by e-mail This work is underconstruction: so check back often. This page was last updated on 03/18/03.
